Hifumi (Plaza Singapura)

For KY's birthday, we went to Hifumi to celebrate.
Order a main dish and get free flow of appetizers! Add $1.99 for free flow of drinks.

Wedges. When is wedges never nice? Okay, that was a rhetorical question. The wedges were good, warm and we were all gobbling it up from a single plate. Especially JX and Ger.

Sweet potato sticks. Not bad. They weren't hard. Firm on the outside but tender on the inside. It was nice but the wedges outshone it.

Tofu Donuts. Little ball of deep fried goodness. All of us love it! We kept on taking it when more came out. It tasted somewhat like regular donuts but with a more dense cake-y texture.

Cha Soba with Soy Milk Miso Dipping Sauce. The sauce was kind of weird, not what I'm used to. It was also spicy so PY couldn't eat it. The soba were a little on the soft side which I do not like. Luckily we have Marcus to help us finish this portion that we didn't want.

Coleslaw with Japanese Pickles. It was creamy, crunchy and refreshing at the same time. Really good.
I also tried the Chawamushi which I did not take a picture of. There were clam, mushroom and crabmeat. Cy and I had 2 portions of it.

Main dish. (I forgot the name) It took quite a while for our main dishes to come but it was fine by us as we could continue to munch on the appetizers. For my dish, all the ingredients were cold from the vegetables to the egg. The only thing that was hot was the soup and meat which was well seasoned and quite tasty. Wished they heated up the cold ingredients then it would be better.

Hifumi is a great place to bring your friends to try more kinds Japanese food since there's the appetizer bar and you will never leave the place hungry.
