Can't believe I have time for this. Anyway, I was at Bugis with ZQ and we past by this shop called
Tai Parfait. It seems so cool. Basically the concept of the shop is a fushion dessert which has taiyaki, filling(chocolate, custard, matcha, azuki or custard cream) and toppings.
Taiyaki is made using a batter(can be pancake, waffles, etc) and poured into a fish-shaped mold. The end result is a fish-shaped pancake which originates from Japan.
I bought the Matcha and Azuki with Custard fillling ($4.90). The azuki, matcha and custard cream consistency was quite thick, thicker than nutella spread and was mildly sweet. The ice cream had a nice vanilla flavor and you could see all the vanilla see in the ice cream. The taiyaki was warm, crispy on the outside and chewy like mochi on the inside. Something unique that I have never tried before.
